Haiku Good Friday
Smell the blood and tears.
Pain, loss, death strangle the air.
Weight of the world hangs.
Mock, scorn, spit. Ignore.
Cacophony, then silence.
Your name on His lips.
Forgiveness and grace.
Mercy, peace, truth, perfect love.
Defined in one death.
Death was not the end.
Battle and then victory.
Tomb empty, alone.
Freely given; this.
Payment made, and debt erased.
For me, for you. All.

Haiku Stuff My Face
It's all I think about now.
While eating for three*
Pizza, spaghetti,
Beef stew, homemade rolls, pancakes,
All made since Wednesday.
Steak, salad, taters;
On the menu for today.
Who knew food is joy?

Maybe March IS Spring
Birds are chirping me awake.
Daffodils have buds.
Something new to share,
you'll have to wait 'til Wednesday.*
My cloud has lifted

Haiku Blah
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and blah
just bear with me, please.
I've asked quite nicely,
but Old Man Winter won't leave.
and Sir Tooth won't come.
I hate a downer,
but my laughs are few right now.
And my kids need them.
Love to all of you.
Bloggy friends are best there are,
clean house not required!

Haiku Lament

Where is Superboy?
Replaced by his evil twin,
cackling at me.
Screams to nurse all night.
Screams to nurse all day and night.
Mom: means to an end.
Please tooth, just come through.
And bring the others with you.
'solidate the pain.
If things don't change soon,
And I get a BFP.
I may run away!

Haiku Friday- You'll Hate Me For This One
An auspicious way
to circumnavigate all
hundred words to know.
I'd plagiarize, but
my feckless attempt is sole
and so fatuous.
A precipitous
discourse, that really could be
deleterious.
My acumen lacks.
Two am ephiphany
at nine seems quite gauche.
Loquacious today,
abstemious tomorrow.
No chicanery.
To subjugate you
in totalitarian state,
bellicose, I know.
A yeoman I am.
It is incontrovertible.
Yet, sometimes churlish.
Metamorphosis?
Photosynthesis? Are they
being facetious?
Filibuster and
gerrymander? Are they
set to impeach me?
Jejune the list that
has chromosome and plasma.
It needs bowdlerized.
Much nomenclature.
Like gamete and mitosis.
Hypotenuse, too.
Hemoglobin and
thermodynamics and
taxonomy here.
Oxidize, learned from
Billy Mays. Parabola
from geometry.
Tectonic and then
deciduous, polymer,
kinetic. That's it.
Vehement am I
that nanotechnology's
the last science word.
Deep respiration.
Winnow the diffident, and
Expurgate the weak.
The vacuous gone,
readers are evanescent.
But, lo, equinox.
Lugubrious yet?
The first moiety is done.
Recapitulate.
I must inculcate.
Orthography makes all my
readers lexicons.
No quotidian.
A quasar , a ziggurat.
For reading thus far.
Nihilism gone
Replaced by oligarchy.
I'm omnipotent .
Dare to usurp, my
unctuous soliloquy?
I'll enervate you.
I'll not enfranchise.
No reciprocal memes, no
obsequiousness.
Fiduciary?
A xenophobe! No Euros.
Mais, oui, laissez-faire.
A suffragist, I,
My sanguine smile belies fire,
when incognito.
Must interpolate,
hegemony; it doesn't
fit anywhere else.
The parameters
of Haiku Friday now made
so antebellum.
Supercilious
haiku wrought with hubris
and much irony.
No paradigm, this.
A tempestuous vortex;
poor infrastructure.
Nonsectarian
readers I kowtow to you.
Notarize my love.
Homogeneous ones,
I will make reparation,
for tautology.
Pecuniary?
I'll abjure to abrogate
Circumlocution

Haiku Dream

Dreamed my house was clean
Dustless, shiny, organized
The way it once was.
Toys in the toy box
Puzzles have every last piece
Beds are tightly made
No piles of laundry
No mismatched shoes on the stairs
No trash overflow
Dishes washed and dried
Clothes in drawers not on floors
Toothpaste lids are on
No ten-day old mail
No lick marks on the windows
From tasting Jack Frost
Crayons, whole, unpeeled
Books with covers still on them
Staidly lined in rows
Blankets folded, stacked
Not draped into forts and tents
Chairs neatly tucked in
No line of spilled milk
Dried along the fridge bottom
No jelly handles
Couch cushions sit straight
Sinks sit empty and waiting
The house is at peace
I wake up with hope
Determined to make it so
Clean house is my goal
Then I see faces
Six, Four, Two and Four-Months old
Reality hits
My house will be clean
Dustless, shiny, organized
In eighteen short years

Haiku Family

Thumb-sucking, slobber,
Smiles that make me warm inside.
My heart keeps growing.
Mispronounces all.
Says I'm perty when I'm not.
He fills me with joy.
Tiny voice, strong will.
We need each other deeply.
Love her beyond words.
Firstborn, brain like mine,
But soul is pulled from Father.
We both puff with pride.
Here before them all.
Father: strong, brave, resourceful.
Rest my heart on him.

Do You Haiku?
I really enjoy reading all the Haiku Fridays so I decided to jump in. I haven't written a Haiku since 10th grade, so here goes.
Little neck chub rolls
They call for me to kiss them
And I do again
What is that gross smell?
Forgot the chub rolls like to
catch milk and spit-up
