"Mom, my saliba is making my food slimy."
"Saliva. I know. It's helping you get ready to swallow. Next time, wait until you've actually swallowed to tell me."
"Mom, I can feel the food going down my gasophogus."
"Esophagus. Cool."
"Wow, I think I can feel my stomach digesting."
"Well, remember, your stomach is a muscle, so yes, sometimes you can feel it telling you when it is hungry or full. Let's just finish eating now."
"Uh-oh. I feel it pushing on my rectum, mom. I need to go poop out of my anus *. Can you please move."
"Sure. I lost my appetite anyway."
* Lest you be deceived, he is just trying to find a way to talk about his butthole without getting a serious discipline. But he did say it with a straight face.

I am seriously in tears here, hunched up over my keyboard!
HAHAHAHA!!!!! Anus. HAHAHAHA!!!!
That is hilarious! hehehe
I shouldn't laugh too hard; when my boys learn those words I'm in for it. That was hilarious!
OMG - this is too funny - LOVE IT! What a smart little guy you have!!
The other evening my little guy said - "Excuse me, my bum burped!".
Thanks for sharing!
ROFL. Thanks for sharing :)
HAha Max has been doing the same thing when he eats. Last night he was in the bath tub and he farted. He called to me and said, "Mommy! The food that was in my stomach made a toot and it went and came out through my bottom and made bubbles and this magical sound like this: bubble-ubbble-OOP! It was magical!"
priceless. kids will always find a way.
(and now i have to go clean the vanilla latte off my keyboard. thanks for that!!)
what is it with boys and butt function?
Haha! Brilliant child.
Jenni, that's fantastic!!
My daughter would for the longest time tell people that when you eat it goes into your 'tummy tubes, then tummy, then comes out your bottom into the toilet as toot'
Made for great playgroup discussion ;-)
LOL.
Thanks for the giggles.
He should ace anatomy.
My son used to say: "Something in my bum keeps doing that"
OMG that's hilarious. LOve it!
*ROFL* Hilarious
hilarious! I stumbled this!
I think that just goes to show you are doing a fantastic job teaching him about digestion. *claps wildly*
I claim him, He's Mine! My boy!
Oh, that last line was CLASSIC! And I love how you wrote it!!! You gotta give him credit for creative thinking, although I did notice that the only words he pronounced correctly were rectum and anus!
anytime you can work rectum and anus into a blog post = priceless.
P.S. I have an award for you on my blog, come get it missus!
