"Clam, what do you want to be when you grow up?"
"Um, a cat."
"Oh."
"Toots, what are you going to be when you grow up?"
"I'm going to wander off and be a lonely old woman."
"Nice."
"Asker, what are you going to be?" said with a note of desperation
"A day care provider."

I LOVE it!
A couple of weeks ago we asked Wolf the same question. He said he wanted to make money. "Yes, but what do you want to do to make money?"
"I want to make money"
Oh, yeah. He wants to work in the mint.
HAHAHA!!! I love that. "I'm going to wander off and be a lonely old woman." Classic! HAHAHA!!!!
Haha! That is brilliant. Your children are wonderful. Kids crack me up and I cannot wait until my son starts talking in order for these hilarious moments!
hilarious. ya gotta love the stuff that come out of kids' mouths.
uh. i meant the WORDS, not really STUFF. cuz that would be so gross.
Perfect!
My 4 year old is going to be a cowboy super hero that saves the day. My 3 year old wants to be "nuffing"!
Ha! You should take Clam to go see CATS. Hey, and there is a lonely old (cat) woman in it too!
My daughter wanted to be a mermaid for the LONGEST time....
LOL! That is cute. I asked the same question to my nephew when he was 5 and he said as seriously as possible, " A dishwasher."
I was like O-kay! Most kids a firefighter, an astronaut, nope not my nephew!
Funny stuff! I've posted a "funny" this morning that should give you a chuckle, too!
I totally want to be a cat too!
a cat, a hermit & a day care provider. sounds like contestants on a game show.
That's what I want to be when I grow up--a kitty cat who gets to eat when she pleases and gets to stretch out in the sun on the window seat All. Day. Long.
When my college kid was younger, she once told me she wanted to be a zamboni driver during the day and a Wal-mart greeter at night. It's good to have a life plan.
That's hilarious! I think Clam has the best idea, though.
These weren't real conversations right?
Because when I was younger I wanted to be a little old, lonely lady too.
Wow. I love your kids.
"Lonely old woman" ... Bwaaahahahaha! That is too funny!
Thanks for your comment last week; we're just taking it one day at a time. God is good, though!

Daycare provider? That might just be one of the top 10 scariest job there are. I don't know how anybody deals with a room full of screaming toddlers. Unless, of course, your still a kid. Then I guess it sounds fun!
Hilarious! I love asking kids what they want to be when they grow up. I am always surprised at their answers. Adults could never come up with the stuff they do!
I love it. It sounds like a set of guests on the Jerry Springer show. :) Isn't it funny how each week kids want to be something new? Ah, youth.
hahahahhaha...you must be so proud!!!
that is so funny!!!
Oh My Gosh, my side is splitting!!!! Jenn, you've got to start a rating system. I need some kind of warning.
