If I can alternately use the word haiku as either 2 or 3 syllables (in Japanese it truly is 3, promise) based on whim and what fits, I'd say Wens-day is perfectly 2, also, since that's how I pronounce it.

I couldn't spell Wednesday until I was an adult because I stubbornly insisted that those middle syllables did NOT belong.
